At Agape Physiotherapy Calamvale, our prenatal Pilates classes are designed to help you stay active, reduce discomfort during pregnancy, and prepare your body for a smoother labour and delivery.

We know that pregnancy can be a rollercoaster for you – physical and emotional changes let alone the stresses attached to pregnancy.

Pilates during pregnancy strengthens core muscles, improves posture, and promotes relaxation, which can ease pain commonly occurring in pregnancy. Our Women’s Health Physio, Monica, will guide you through safe and gentle exercises that will enhance both your physical and emotional well-being, leaving you feeling empowered, confident, and supported throughout your pregnancy journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

That is the great thing about pilates – it is completely tailored to you. Everyone can be doing the same exercise but the springs are modified to suit you and your level. If there are some exercises that you are having difficulty with, our physio pilates instructors are able to modify it for you then and there.

We also do have all our pilates members complete a pre-pilates assessment before they start so we have the ability to go through your goals and questions and also show you how the reformers work so you are familiar when you start. Honestly, when you start, you will love it. It’s not as daunting as you think, we promise.

There is absolutely no lock in. We want you to stay as long as you would like. We want you to enjoy it, benefit from it and thrive from it. We don’t want you to be stuck and hate yourself, Pilates and us.

With all our membership, we use a 3rd party company (gocardless) which is specialised in this field. They have their own cyber security and their own safety measures. We have done this to make it much safer for you.

With all the memberships, payment will be taken out of your account on Thursday and held until it comes into our account on Monday. This means that your membership is for the week ahead.

If you are on holidays, we encourage you to pause it. You can call our admin team and let them know when you will be back, and we will organise the back end for you so everything is smooth.

We ask you to give us 2 week’s notice because everything is a week in advance so it gives ample time for everything to be organise just for you.

At times life gets busy or we may not feel our best. That’s why we now offer 17 classes available anytime, any day – it’s incredibly convenient. If you can’t make your usual class, simply inform us and schedule another that fits your schedule.

Our aim is to reach 30 classes weekly by the end of 2025. In December 2024, we had just 10 classes. In January 2025, we expanded to 17 classes. We’re growing fast – there are plenty of options for you now!

Honestly, Pilates is one of the most underrated forms of exercise – it works on strength, balance, and core, all in one. What other exercise can do that?

We’re passionate about Pilates, and that’s why we’re such strong advocates for it. There’s no catch – we just want you to enjoy it. We truly believe that’s why our Pilates classes have been so popular.
